La Sagrera

C/ Verenguer de Palou 52-68

The La Sagrera Housing building houses 104 flats and is located in a new central area of Barcelona, which will be home to the future Barcelona High Speed train station and the linear park that will link Plaça de les Glories with the Nus de la Trinitat: La Sagrera.

New development of 104 flats and 240 parking spaces located in La Sagrera where contrasts are a very present element. On the one hand, it hides an old, small and welcoming district right next to one of the main access roads to the city, La Meridiana; on the other hand, it is still quiet despite being adjacent to Sant Andreu, a rather bustling district.

Within walking distance: a primary care centre right in front of the development, several schools and institutes, numerous supermarkets, traditional restaurants and bakeries with quality artisan products and even a civic centre where they do all kinds of fantastic workshops and courses.

The volumetric organisation of the building allows maximum space to be gained inside the plot, giving rise to a communal area on the first floor that complements the green spaces inside the block. This gesture of the volumetry improves the sunlight of the inward-facing dwellings, distancing them from the high-rise blocks facing the Sagrera linear park.
The dwellings are organised around a central axis, with dwellings on either side and terraces running the length of the building.

The façade adapts to two different situations of the building: the façade on Berenguer de Palou street is more solid and responds to a language more typical of the existing streets, while the façade on Garcilaso street is lighter.
The façade is ventilated, finished with large-format porcelain stoneware tiles.
The building has been designed in accordance with sustainability and energy saving parameters and has achieved an Energy Rating A.

Having quality outdoor spaces in our environment is essential. The building has large terraces and a communal garden area located on the roof of the building. These spaces contribute to improving the health of the people who live there, the air quality and the biodiversity of our cities.
